Send us Feedback Classroom Buyer's Guide - Networking

If you've ever been connected to a computer network or the Internet, you understand the power of networking. Networks provide the ability to share information among large groups of people and to manage devices remotely. Like your personal computer, a projector can also be networked.

Networking a projector can save time and money. The projector must have either a wired or wireless network connection that uniquely identifies it among all the schools projectors. Using this distinct address, a school’s IT administrator can locate the projector on the network, communicate with it, detect a possible theft or lamp failure, identify the need for maintenance or troubleshooting, connect it to the Internet, permit the sharing of course material, connect a group of projectors to share a common presentation, or simply make sure that all projectors not in use have been shut down to minimize costly lamp replacements.
